Managing Academic Recommendations Gratis Yay
MARGY maintains confidentiality in two ways:
MARGY encrypts all letters as they are uploaded, so that not even MARGY’s administrators can access them. A decryption key is generated and included as part of the mailto code sent to the applicant. That key is not saved anywhere else.
MARGY only sends letters of recommendation to email addresses on its whitelist, all of which have been verified as belonging to a hiring entity. The whitelist appears below in its entirety, for purposes of transparency.
Want to see how MARGY does things for yourself? Check out the source code.
If your address is on the whitelist but you'd like it not to be, click here.
